PD Dr. Rimpler succeeded to elucidate the vascular occlusion of the pelvic arteries of professional cyclists. He is the most experienced surgeon in Germany in this field.
His practice focuses on reconstructive surgery of diseased arteries (aortic aneurysm, arterial disease of the legs, carotid artery stenosis, arterial reconstructions of re-occlusion), the surgical treatment of vascular malformations, dialysis Shunt surgery and vein surgery.
PD Dr. Rimpler developed an operating method of the treatment of pulmonary embolism without heart – lung machine. In addition, as first in the world he used carbon dioxide as a contrast agent in the endovascular exclusion of an aneurysm of the abdominal aorta. PD Dr. Rimpler also has the greatest experience and background in the intraoperative vascular endoscopy (Inspection of the vessels) in Germany.
